The Project Highlights:
- CMK Contractors talked with Scene75 to confirm this project was a good fit for our services.
- Next CMK visited 2 Scene75 locations in Ohio
- CMK engaged their local preferred Chicago Architect to assist Scene75 with Blueprints due to them not having a local resource.
- Sent 10 CMK employees to Pittsburg to help decommission existing Scene75 attractions, games and other items to be reutilized in their new space.
- CMK submitted demo drawings to the Village of Romeoville to jump-start the project.
- CMK Contractors services provided: demo contracting, general contractor, construction/carpentry, MEP (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing), Painting and Finishing. Subcontracted concrete, sprinklers, fire alarms, steel contractors.
Timeline:
- Phase 1 Demo took 5 months and included concrete removal
- Phase 2 Buildout took 7 months including design-build because we were relocating rides and attractions that required 3rd party inspection company. Added 60 tons of HVAC to the building the last week of the buildout.
Extremely grateful to the Village of Romeoville building department who were great to work with and very complimentary of our service.
